AR storytelling in a 5G world
OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE CREATIVE SECTOR
5G opens up new opportunities and possibilities for new uses of augmented reality, offering great potential not only for the industrial sector, but also for artists, producers and art galleries.
Art has seen the emergence of digital technology in its creative processes since Marcel Duchamp and Man Ray’s Dust, created in 1920. The evolution is so fast, that the profession of artist and the practices which accompany it evolve in an exponential way. We are witnessing a change in artistic practices. Festivals like the “Palais Augmenté” in Paris, Siggraph, Art Gallery of Ontario, “Némo-Biennale”, regularly present AR art.
A plethora of articles praise the revalorization of museums thanks, in part, to augmented reality. But is it really the case?
We have invited several players in the AR industry (artists, producers, platforms and applications) to discuss their recent work and the future of AR for the creative sector.
