THE XR CHALLENGES SUPPORTED BY THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION

For several years now, European programs have been supporting the XR industry in Europe. Thanks to its multi-annual programs, the European Commission supports research, the development of applications, immersive audiovisual content, etc…

Through programs such as MEDIA, Creative Europe, Horizon 2020, and the most recent Horizon Europe, the European Commission invests considerable amounts of money to encourage cooperation and to support the initiatives of researchers, professionals and producers who create added value for the XR sector of our continent.

Naturally, the European Commission wishes to be well informed of the developments in this sector, which contributes to Europe’s economic sovereignty. That is why it also commissions well-documented studies, including the most recent one, entitled AR/VR Industrial Coalition, the results of which will be presented during this presentation.
