Aurélien Bolkaerts got hooked with virtual reality by working on an ambulance-driving simulator related to the ORVAMU project during his traineeship in Informatics studies.

Freshly graduated with a Master Degree in Industrial Engineering with a specialization in Computer Sciences, Aurélien is now working as a researcher and IT Manager on Interreg Euregio Meuse Rhin (EMR) projects within CeCoTePé. One of them, the FunforLab project, is dedicated to the creation of virtual reality tools for the education of medical laboratory technicians.

In the meantime, he is co-founding SPARX, a spin-off company devoted to the development of educational tools in Virtual Reality.
