Beatrice BIANCARDI is Associate Professor at LINEACT CESI, Engineering School in Nanterre, France. After obtaining a Master in Cognitive Science at the University of Trento, Italy, she moved to Paris, where she received a PhD in Human-Computer Interaction from Sorbonne University.
Her research interests include investigating models of social behaviors occurring while interacting in virtual environments. Using embodied conversational agents, avatars and immersive environment as a prism to study these interactions, she always puts the human at the center of her research, by focusing on the socio-cognitive aspects of the users.
