Georg Regal is a Scientist at the AIT Austrian institute of Technology, Center for Technology Experience. Georg studied medical informatics at the Vienna University of Technology, in his master thesis he developed an augmentative and assistive communication device for a head-stick user. His research is focusing on human augmentation and virtual reality as well as accessibility and alternative input strategies for people with disabilities. Georg has over 10 years of experience in HCI research and has successfully conducted and coordinated multiple national and international research projects. Georg has published in various national and international high quality journals and conferences. Moreover he has been invited as a speaker to national and international events. Besides working at AIT he is also giving lectures on Human Computer Interaction at the University of Applied Sciences Joanneum and the Technical University Vienna.
