Sylvie DIJKSTRA-SOUDARISSANANE

Sylvie Shoba Dijkstra-Soudarissanane has a PhD degree in the domain of XR volumetric content, a MSc in Digital Communications and a MSc in Telecommunication and Signal Processing. She is the lead scientist of the TNO Early Research Program on Social and Zero distance XR for the Metaverse. She focuses her research and expertise on network based XR media processing, which involves networking aspects such as 5G/6G, SDN/NFV, edge/cloud computing; but also, 3D media processing such as point clouds and light field. She coordinated and guided her teams that built several end-to-end XR pipelines catering for specific use case requirements such as XR business meetings or expertise at a distance, bridging the gap of remote locations and real-time communication.
