Aaron KUBAI

Aaron KUBAI, born in Pretoria, South Africa, is Co-Trustee of the Makeba Centre for Girls and an executive member of the Miriam Makeba Foundation. Active with the foundation since 2014, he has over a decade of experience in arts and cultural programs, organizing music festivals, museum exhibitions, and events like the Dr. Miriam Makeba Dialogue. Dedicated to preserving Dr. Miriam Makeba’s legacy, Aaron promotes learning about her life and work. He authored a biography of his father, James Gooli Kubayi, exploring themes of migration and African success. As a leader in tackling social issues, he collaborates with NGOs to address poverty, abuse, and gender-based violence, leveraging his skills to empower women and youth.
