dr Jelle DEMANET has a background in experimental psychology and cognitive neuroscience. Currently he is manager of Human Interface technology lab at the Howest University of Applied Sciences. In his HITlab he manages an interdisciplinary team of game developers, pedagogues, psychologists, occupational therapists and AI engineers. By building PoCs of XR technology in various domains, from healthcare to industry 4.0, HITlab investigates new application fields of XR technology with a strong focus on the end user (patients, operators, students,…). He is also co-founder of XRvalley a network organisation supporting the XR sector.
