Laurence BRIAND

Laurence BRIAND is a French-Belgian-Martinican actress and singer who works between Belgium and France. She began her journey focusing on physical performance at the Lassaad school, which is based on Jacques Lecoq’s training method. She then graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Brussels with a Master’s in Theater and Speech Arts in 2006, and earned a teaching diploma in 2007. In 2008, Laurence co-founded her theater company, Toc Toc Art, producing numerous shows. Between 2012 and 2014, she collaborated on productions like Five Women Wearing the Same Dress by Alan Ball and La robe de Gulnara by Isabelle Hubert. Laurence has created and produced multiple musical shows, blending her love for theater and music, including Est-ce ainsi que les hommes vivent?, Sur un air de cinéma, Le cabaret du Chat noir, and Welcome to les années folles. She also works in voice-over for films, series, and animated shows. In film, she appears in several short films, feature films, and commercials. On stage, Laurence brings a strong physicality to her roles, enhanced by Argentine tango, which she’s danced since 2013, and pole dance, which she began in 2016. Both forms add to her versatility as a performer.
